Directions

Oatfield House is less than five minutes drive from Campbeltown harbour - just under three miles.

Follow the A83 right into the centre of Campbeltown to its junction with Main Street. Turn right along Main Street, away from the harbour, and follow the road round as it bends sharp right, opposite the White Hart Hotel. A mile or so out of town, you will come to the small village of Stewarton. Turn left onto the B842*, signposted Southend and Mull of Kintyre. Exactly a mile and a half further on (immediately after some roadside cottages and a phonebox on your left) and just as you start going up hill again, look for the B & B sign and two trees flanking our stone gateway on your right. Turn into the drive and the House is hidden away in the trees, beyond the gate lodge, about a third of a mile from the main road.

When you arrive, please ring the front door bell (it's the old fashioned brass handled type - pull it down and you will hear the bell ring). If there is no answer here, you will find us around the back of the house, at the office.

* If you should find yourself headed north on the B842, signposted Peninver or Carradale, you are going in completely the wrong direction - turn round and head back to Campbeltown.

Important Note if you use SatNav!

Please note that your SatNav will try to take you to the geographical centre of a given postcode. In a sparsely populated area like this, we share our postcode with a number of nearby farms and the geographical centre is up a rough farm track and in the middle of a field, on the other side of the main road, about half a mile away from here.

So please feel free to use your SatNav to find Campbeltown or even as near as Stewarton... but once you have left Stewarton, please switch it off and follow the above directions instead.
